Physiotherapy Sessions

Benefits of Equine Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy uses a whole horse approach to ensure horses are competition fit, improve their performance and general well-being, as well as reducing the risk of injury. Physiotherapy is not exclusively for injured or high performance horses, any horse or pony will benefit as the modern demands our horses face from stabling and management practices, to ridden work mean that additional TLC. This helps to ensure they are in optimum condition, pain free, and have good range of joint movement. Different techniques and therapies (listed below) will help to reduce pain, improve function and movement, enhance mobility and increase the suppleness of the horse. It can be used as a preventative and routine maintenance measure, to ensure that they are not showing early signs of discomfort or potential problems that may result in further issues or injuries. This will ensure your horse can continue to achieve their optimum performance.

If your horse is recovering from injury or post surgery, physiotherapy sessions and a tailored a rehabilitation program to your horses needs will enhance recovery time. Physiotherapy also assists in rehabilitation following injury and/or surgery with the aim of restoring the animal back to full function.
